On March 6, Wang Dandan, Vice Chairwoman of the Changzhou Federation of Trade Unions, led a delegation including Li Ping, Director of the Rights Protection Department, and Xu Dan, Deputy Director, to jointly form a special research team with Yang Zhiming, Party Secretary and Vice Chairwoman of the Wujin District Federation of Trade Unions, and Lu Xiaozhong, Deputy Secretary of the Nanxiashu Subdistrict Party Committee. The team visited Hoprio Holdings Group, a leading enterprise in the global variable-frequency industry chain, to conduct an in-depth investigation into the implementation of the special collective agreement on employee-driven technological innovation, aiming to inject fresh momentum into the company's industrial transformation efforts. Ding Ruirong, Chairman of Hoprio Holdings, Zhu Xueshuang, Chairman of the Trade Union, and other union officials warmly welcomed the team and provided detailed reports on the company’s progress.
At the symposium, Sun Xu, an outstanding core member of the Hoprio Holdings trade union, delivered a work report. Sun Xu outlined the progress made since the implementation of Hoprio Holdings' Special Collective Agreement on Employee Technological Innovation, covering aspects such as enterprise development, the effectiveness of the agreement in fostering employee technological innovation, and the specific approaches adopted under the agreement.

Focus on the meeting: Specialized contracts build an "Innovator's Reward" ecosystem.
Under the guidance of the union, Hoprio has innovatively implemented a "three-dimensional incentive system" that includes profit-sharing from technology transfer outcomes, special rewards for efficiency enhancement, and performance-based achievement awards. The company has also established nine types of awards, such as the Improvement Proposal Award, Advanced Operation Method Award, and Patent Creation Award, with individual technical improvements receiving rewards exceeding 10,000 yuan. Additionally, the team shares in the increased efficiency and added value at a ratio of 3:7 with the company, while teams are eligible for team bonuses ranging from 30% to 40% of annual revenue targets achieved.
Remarkable Achievements: Institutional Innovation Unleashes New Momentum for Development
Since the implementation of the special collective contract for employee-driven technological innovation, the company has continuously intensified its promotional efforts, yielding remarkable results and sparking a surge in innovative achievements: A total of 582 technical improvement proposals have been generated, 127 patents have been filed, and annual cost reductions coupled with efficiency gains have exceeded 10 million yuan. Meanwhile, the talent structure has been upgraded significantly—among skilled workers, the proportion of senior technicians has risen from 18% to 35%, while R&D personnel have seen their average annual income climb by 42%.

Vice Chairwoman Wang Dandan and Minister Li Ping repeatedly praised Hoprio Holdings for its remarkable achievements on the path of independent innovation. They highly commended the company’s innovative practice of "deeply integrating corporate development, technological breakthroughs, and employee growth," and suggested that the Wujin District Federation of Trade Unions vigorously promote the "employee-driven technological innovation special collective contract model of mutual assistance among enterprises." This initiative would help transform Changzhou’s pioneering advantage in collective special contracts into a sustained source of new momentum for ongoing development. Ding Ruirong, Chairman of Hoprio Holdings, pledged to further deepen the "innovation成果 option system" and actively support trade union-led industrial reform policies, ensuring that more skilled workers can share in the benefits of the company’s growth. He also expressed enthusiasm for exploring new approaches to strengthening trade union infrastructure, while actively contributing to Changzhou’s vision of becoming a "New Energy Capital"—a move that will unlock green energy potential for the city’s sustainable development.

Visit the Hoprio Holdings Workshop: Craftsmanship in Manufacturing
Wang Dandan and her delegation visited the injection-molding die workshop on-site, listened to a briefing on Hoprio's industrial development, as well as its strategies and practices for reforming the workforce development system. They also exchanged ideas on topics such as the implementation of employee-driven technological innovation contracts, industry-education integration, worker incentive mechanisms, and the construction of union-based community centers.

The next phase

Hoprio Holdings has been deeply engaged in the brushless motor and intelligent variable-frequency control drive fields for over two decades, focusing on addressing critical challenges such as the lack of an independent, foundational algorithm library for frequency conversion control, low motor efficiency, high drive energy consumption, numerous separate components in drive systems, and the inherent conflict between compact size and high power output. The company has successfully overcome a series of technical hurdles, including high-speed motor vibration, motor demagnetization, and short product lifespans. As a result, Hoprio has developed three core technologies: intelligent variable-frequency control, highly efficient and energy-saving drives, and integrated whole-machine system solutions. These breakthroughs have not only shattered foreign technological monopolies but also filled critical domestic technology gaps. Today, Hoprio is leading the way in achieving 100% domestic substitution across key sectors such as power tools, fluid dynamics, smart home appliances, and industrial power systems.
In the future, we will continue to collaborate with labor unions to steadily advance management improvements. By adopting scientific and effective approaches, we will constantly enrich and refine the meaningful ways for enterprise employees to participate in management, enhance the skills-development system for industrial workers, ensure smooth pathways for their growth and career advancement, and create robust platforms where they can achieve success and make valuable contributions. Together, we will strive to build harmonious labor relations and collectively rally powerful momentum for reforming and strengthening the workforce in our industry.
